With more than 20 years of experience in IT, including expertise in both development and QE, Mahalakshmi has always been dedicated to continuous learning and professional growth. However, her journey was not without its challenges. In 2017, she suffered the profound loss of her mother, a tragedy that deeply affected her emotionally. This was followed by health complications within her family in 2018, and a surgery for her special needs child, demanding her undivided attention and care.
Maha had to make the tough choice to step away from her career to focus on her family. Though this decision was necessary at the time, she soon realized the importance of returning to work to regain a sense of balance and manage life’s responsibilities.
After a long break, she began exploring career opportunities in Chennai, close to home. It was during a visit to the hospital, where she prayed in front of Sage Aravind, that she received a call from Indium. To her surprise, the person who conducted her Level 1 technical interview was Aravind — sharing the same name as the sage she had prayed to for guidance. This serendipitous moment marked the beginning of a new chapter in her professional journey.
At Indium, Maha found a supportive environment that encouraged her growth and confidence. Under the guidance of leaders such as KK, Aravind (Arvy), Mano, and Ramesh K, and with the unwavering support of the QE team, she regained her self-assurance and excelled in her role. Her passion for her work was reignited, and she rediscovered a renewed sense of purpose in her career.
Today, Maha continues to move forward with determination and focus, both in her personal and professional life. Indium has not only provided her with the platform to grow but has also played a crucial role in helping her rediscover her strength and resilience. Her story is a powerful testament to the importance of perseverance, support, and the power of second chances — demonstrating that no matter the personal struggles one faces, it is possible to overcome them and thrive in one’s career.
