15 Years, Countless Lessons: A Look Back at My Journey with Indium

Fifteen years ago, I joined Indium with a clear intent: to build, lead, and create impact through technology. What I didn’t foresee was how this journey would evolve into something far more fulfilling—a story of transformation, trust, and shared success. Staying with one organization for over a decade and a half is rare, and I often get asked why I’ve stayed. The answer is simple: Indium has always offered me something new to learn, something meaningful to build, and a culture that fuels growth.

The Evolution of a Journey

Leadership, in my view, is not defined by hierarchy. It’s about taking responsibility, making an impact, and growing alongside your people. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to lead through multiple lenses—technology, operations, people, and business. Each role added a new dimension to my understanding and deepened my belief in building with empathy and purpose.

  • 2009 – Chief Technology Officer
I began my journey with Indium leading technology strategy and delivery, building scalable systems, creating high-performance engineering teams, and aligning tech goals with business outcomes.
  • 2021 – Chief Operating Officer
My focus expanded to enterprise operations, enabling me to strengthen strategic alignment and execution across functions.
  • 2023 – President, Gaming & HR
This was a transformative phase. At iXie, Indium’s gaming division, I helped evolve the business from a QA-focused unit to a full-spectrum gaming company—setting up development and art teams to support end-to-end game production and future growth.
Alongside, I led Indium’s HR function, overseeing talent, learning, and culture. This dual mandate reinforced a key insight: business outcomes and people strategy go hand in hand. It shaped my approach to leading with empathy, driving growth through empowered teams.
  • Present – President & Business Head – India & GCC
Today, I lead our presence in two fast-growing regions. My focus is on expanding strategic partnerships, deepening client relationships, and unlocking new avenues for growth and innovation.

What Makes Indium Different

Staying this long was never just about the roles. It’s been about the environment. Indium’s culture celebrates progress, values people, and fosters a deep sense of ownership. I’ve always been empowered to explore, lead, and experiment. And it’s this trust that has shaped my growth and sense of purpose.

Core Principles That Guide Me

1. Lead by Example
High-performing teams start with high-performing leaders. I’ve always believed in setting the tone with integrity, ownership, and consistency.

2. Communicate with Empathy
Transparent communication isn’t just about clarity; it builds trust and emotional connection across geographies and teams.

3. Empower with Purpose
Delegation isn’t about handing off tasks—it’s about unlocking potential. I’ve seen individuals grow exponentially when given the right space and ownership.

4. Resolve with Empathy
Conflicts are inevitable, especially in ambitious environments. I believe in addressing them head-on—with active listening and a shared-focus resolution mindset.

Working Across Borders: Lessons in Collaboration

Operating globally means navigating nuances—whether it’s tone in communication or varying work styles. I’ve learned that strong cross-border rapport is built on empathy, localized awareness, and genuine relationship-building.

Looking Ahead: My Future at Indium

Indium is at a pivotal moment. From our roots in QA to becoming a digital engineering and AI powerhouse, we’ve evolved with intent and clarity. My vision is to accelerate this momentum across India and the GCC—expanding our talent footprint, strengthening customer partnerships, and staying ahead of the curve in AI-led innovation.

For the next chapter, I want to focus on shaping the next generation of leaders—those who think boldly, act with clarity, and lead with heart. Tools like AI will help us eliminate routine work, but it’s human potential that will unlock breakthrough outcomes. That’s where I see the future: in people, progress, and purpose.

Final Thoughts

Fifteen years in, I can confidently say that I’ve grown because Indium has allowed me to. I’m deeply grateful for every opportunity, challenge, and milestone. As we step forward into new markets and new possibilities, I remain committed to our journey—because when a company truly invests in its people, anything is possible.
