Celebrating 15 Years of Excellence: Nisha’s Remarkable Journey at Indium Software

We are thrilled to celebrate a remarkable milestone for Nisha Sangamithra, who has completed 15 years of exceptional service at Indium Software. Currently serving as the Associate Vice President- Quality Engineering, Nisha’s journey has been one filled with dedication, innovation, and exemplary leadership.

Nisha, what are some of your biggest strengths as a leader at Indium?

My strength lies in building customer relationships and truly understanding and delivering what customers really want. Customers usually gain confidence in me through customized processes and methods from due diligence conducted. This includes performing technical analysis of their products and applications, discussing their current processes, identifying gaps, and implementing effective solutions with measurable success.

I’ve conducted numerous workshops and training sessions to promote well-rounded growth within the team. I am proud of my global presence, achieved through participation in conferences and the publication of my articles in international technical magazines such as TE – Testing Experience and Professional Tester.

What according to you are the three most essential skills for effective leadership?

  • Being adaptable
  • Being fair
  • Setting an example

What are some of the significant projects you have worked on?

The first project I handled was for a leader in the automotives sales & auctions business, where I gained valuable due diligence experience. This project laid the foundation for building an offshore QA team for all their application branches.

The next significant project involved executing hundreds of manual test scripts in just a few weeks for a global leader in life sciences. This project was a fun learning experience, and I am very grateful to my teammates who supported me throughout.

The third notable project was for a firm in the business process management sector. The significance of this project was the trust the firm’s director had in our team and our timely delivery. He publicly praised our work on Clutch, stating that we effectively addressed their challenge of creating large sets of test cases and that our efforts have helped in pre-sales by persuading customers of the reliability of tested solutions.

What message would you give to young, aspiring women leaders?

I have three quotes, and this is not just for aspiring women leaders, this is for all the budding ones.

  • Confidence comes with knowledge.
  • Discipline and consistency at work are a must.
  • Do not demand respect; work to get it.

What are some challenges you faced during your journey at Indium and how did you overcome them?

Every workplace comes with its unique set of tasks and dimensions, which should be viewed not as challenges but as responsibilities. If I were to mention a personal challenge, it would be managing my energy levels in social settings, as I am naturally an introvert. However, this does not stop me from doing my best at work.

What are three critical insights you have learned from your time at Indium?

  • Delegate with trust as you cannot be everywhere.
  • Good mentors are important, and this is not just to discuss technical work.
  • The most important – the founders’ values are what lay the foundation of any organization.

“Every morning when I wear the ID card around my neck, I am extremely proud. An accomplishment to me is when my team’s potential expands. I am very happy to be growing with the organization. A big thank you to the support from the management to all the teams, and most importantly, to some of my teammates who are the actual doers.” Nisha Sangamithra, Associate Vice President- Digital Assurance.

As we celebrate Nisha’s 15 years with Indium, we look forward to many more years of her leadership and contributions. Her journey is a source of inspiration for all of us, and we are proud to have her as a part of the Indium family.
